Review of Indigo Spell by Richelle Mead *SPOILERS*

Overview from www.goodreads.com:
In the aftermath of a forbidden moment that rocked Sydney to her core, she finds herself struggling to draw the line between her Alchemist teachings and what her heart is urging her to do. Then she meets alluring, rebellious Marcus Finch--a former Alchemist who escaped against all odds, and is now on the run. Marcus wants to teach Sydney the secrets he claims the Alchemists are hiding from her. But as he pushes her to rebel against the people who raised her, Sydney finds that breaking free is harder than she thought. There is an old and mysterious magic rooted deeply within her. And as she searches for an evil magic user targeting powerful young witches, she realizes that her only hope is to embrace her magical blood--or else she might be next.

My opinion:
I really loved the transformation of Sydney’s personality in this book. She starts out as a dutiful alchemist but as the series goes on she goes through a sort of metamorphosis. Little by little she starts to find her own voice and it really comes out in this book. The events leading up to it are interesting and I could not put this book down. Sydney actually is the badass in this book for many reasons (sorry guys you’ll have to read to find out!). For a dutiful alchemist surrounded by moroi and damphirs she is able to hold her own. I also found that my Adrian obsession was satisfied with this book. So his fan-girls (what me a fan-girl? Never….) will enjoy the Sydney/Adrian romance. After all the “Who is Marcus Finch” theories, I was also glad to finally find out who he was! Another great thing is that author Richelle Mead’s witty humor showed in this book yet again. I kept laughing obnoxiously loud as I read this book at school. DISCLAIMER: DO NOT READ IN PUBLIC. PEOPLE WILL THINK YOU ARE CRAZY. This was a fantastic read and if you have not picked up a Richelle Mead book then i highly recommend you do so! This 3rd installment receives a 5 out of 5 from me!
